Sun Valley Earns Accolades from Golf Magazine, Releases Late Summer, Early Fall Golf Packages

Sun Valley Resort in south-central Idaho was named to Golf Magazine's "Best Public Courses" list this week, earning further distinction for the iconic resort with 45 holes on three courses.

In tandem with its recent awards announcement, Sun Valley is offering discerning golfers and resort enthusiasts value-laden late summer and glorious fall getaways via two new golf packages.

Golfers may choose from Sun Valley's Trail Creek, White Clouds and Elkhorn courses with the Triple Play golf experience, a three-round, two-night offer, starting at $350 per person, double occupancy. Reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis for stays now through September 3, the golf package offers significant savings of more than 50% during normal high-season rates. Golfers receive an added bonus: complimentary play on its highly regarded 18-hole Sawtooth putting course.

Sun Valley lives up to its name in fall, when clear skies and warm days allow for incredible autumn views of golden cottonwoods and aspens in the valley and surrounding mountains. The Aspen Glow package starts at $140 per person per night and includes a round of golf and overnight stay. The package can be booked for multiple nights from September 4 through October 9.

"This is a great time for parents' getaways and buddy trips, after kids go back to school," says Rick Hickman, Director of Golf at Sun Valley. "The valley is especially beautiful this time of year, and the combination of great weather and exceptional rates makes it an ideal time to plan a trip."

Visitors can complement their stay with a wealth of outdoor activities such as skeet shooting, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, ice skating year-round, and more. Nine dining and lounge options on property offer indoor and outdoor seating and locations such as Trail Creek Cabin offer live music seasonally.

A 25-acre golf practice facility, indoor golf simulator and instruction, and new clubhouse are other popular Sun Valley golf amenities.
